Andrea Warnecke worked as a commercial lawyer for two years before becoming a specialist legal recruitment consultant in 1988.  She worked with a London-based recruitment agency, first in Sydney and subsequently in London.  After buying out the Australian operation in 1991, the company was established as Warnecke Consulting.

Andrea has a discerning eye for quality lawyers and knowing where they will excel. She has placed lawyers across all fields into major law firms, as well as smaller, specialist practices across Australia and world-wide.  With her strong background in London, she has also been heavily involved in international recruitment, particularly in the UK and Asian markets.

In addition, Andrea has handled consulting assignments involving the recruitment of large teams of lawyers for international firms, law firm mergers for local, national and international firms, presenting seminars on client service and innovation, advice on remuneration, review procedures and performance evaluations. She also established Legal Profiles, the guide to Australia’s leading lawyers and their expertise, compiling and editing six editions, before the sale to LexisNexis Butterworths.

At Warnecke Consulting, Andrea's role is to offer a dedicated legal recruitment service and a total recruitment solution to fuel strategically led growth within the world's leading law firms.
